215 Main Street Mural
Dedication Scheduled Fall 2024
About the Artwork
In August 2024, the Onalaska Art Keepers brought new life to downtown Onalaska by sponsoring a vibrant mural on the building at 215 Main Street. This highly visible location was selected for its prominent position, offering views from multiple directions and maximizing the mural’s community impact.
The artwork was created by Cody Sanderson, a talented mural artist from the region, who completed the stunning piece in just one week. His work now adds a dynamic splash of creativity to the heart of Onalaska.
Special thanks go to Casey and Tracy Holzwarth, the building’s owners, for supporting this public art initiative. Modern Crane of Onalaska generously donated a lift, allowing Cody to work safely and efficiently 16 feet above ground throughout the weeklong project.
This mural is a testament to the power of collaboration between local artists, businesses, and community organizations, all working together to make Onalaska even more beautiful and inspiring.
