At the intersection of Main and 2nd Street, in 2019, a group of citizens, many of whom were the impetus for the beginning of OAK, raised money and installed the sculpture “Nature’s Backyard” by local artist Michael Martino. For the dedication of our new city sculpture, another local, Janet Kirkpatrick,  wrote a song to the tune of “Country Road” by John Denver. It is a song about Onalaska. The Song Plaque is a stoneware plaque by artist Joyce Diveley, with a stained glass frame by artist Dani McAllister.
